Read It. Write It. Fund It. is an interactive workshop created for nonprofit leaders who are ready to move beyond simply learning about grants and begin practicing the process.
This is not a lecture-only event. Participants will work through grant guidelines, develop proposal responses, review mock applications, and experience how funding decisions are made from both the applicant and funder perspectives.
NO PREVIOUS GRANT-WRITING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Is this workshop only for Black-led nonprofits?
The workshop is presented by The Black Nonprofit Group and centers the needs of Black-led organizations, but nonprofit leaders, staff, board members, and community partners from all backgrounds are welcome.
Do I need grant-writing experience?
No. The workshop is designed to support beginners while still offering practical value for participants with experience.
Should I bring a laptop?
Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet, but printed materials will also be provided.
Is lunch included?
Yes. Lunch and refreshments are included with registration.
Can more than one person attend from my organization?
Yes. Each participant must complete a separate registration and purchase an individual ticket.
